Not much of a post today, but in keeping with my personal goal of a post every day…
I am convalescing with another migraine today, second this week. My own research indicates they may be hemiplagic migraines. That sucks, but at least we get a ribbon. My awesome husband came home early from work so that I could grab a nap and sleep through the worst of it. What a great man!

Migranes, nasty little buggers. Touch wood, I haven’t had one recently, but I hope yours clear up soon.

As soon as I can find out how to replace the protein that I am not making, I hope they will clear up. Of course, I probably need a professional’s opinion.
Apparently, if they are what my research leads me to believe they are, I am supposed to grow out of them. I hope I still have some growing to do, because I’d like to mature right out of this crappiness.

Mine are hormonal based, so I’m hoping (fingers crossed) they’ll be over soon. But yes, if they keep occuring you should get them checked out.

Apparently, if I have the type I think I do, they are coming from a mutation in the 19th chromosome that prevents me from creating a protein that aids in the flow of blood through my arteries and ability to communicate (hence the aphasia that I get when my migraines start). I cannot take the tryptan meds for it because of an increased risk of stroke (if they are hemiplagic), but if I catch it early enough, Tylenol will keep the pain more manageable. I bet it is comforting to know that there is a possibility of yours subsiding soon. Not many people are cursed to know what a migraine is like, but those of us who are are so empathetic to them!

Hope you get to feeling better soon. When you do, slip back on over to David Harding’s blog. Your pizza box almost won first place in the voting, and he has a runner-up prize for you.

I’ve been meaning to stop by. My daughter is sick today, so I am rooted to the sofa again. I think I will make David pitch a vacation to Australia. I hate Australia based on documentaries and horror films I have watched, so I will never go there. But I want to see if David can sell it to me.

Glad to hear he was there to help you out! (And hope the migraines go away, at least for a while.)

He is amazingly supportive in my infirmity.
